NYC Real Estate Regional CenterThe New York City Real Estate Regional Center was approved by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services as a designated Regional Center on April 3, 2012 and is licensed to participate in the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program and specific investment activities within the designated geographic scope. The Project’s first investor filed the EB-5 application the following month – on May 11, 2012. Development of the Project was commenced upon the first investor’s I-526 approval in late April 2013. The geographic area of the Regional Center consists of fifteen counties – eight counties in New York and seven counties in New Jersey.
Our FutureAs the business has grown, so has the need for competent staff dedicated to the different components of running a successful operation. We have established an entire human resources department to focus on the ongoing process of recruitment, hiring, and training employees. To date, all components of the business are fully operational and are creating revenue sufficient to repay all EB-5 loans in a timely manner. Our ChairmanMr. Louis V. D’Arminio is Chairman of the Regional Center, and is in charge of daily management. He served in United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1971, where he received a Bronze Star Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal with Valor, and the Combat Ac on Medal. Afterward, he worked in the New Jersey Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security. He was assigned to the advance security details of President Reagan, President Bush Sr., President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore. From 2002 to 2010, Mr. D'Arminio served two terms as Mayor of the Township of Saddle Brook in New Jersey. During his 40 years of public service, Mr. D’Arminio’ s earned many recognitions and awards for his excellent leadership skills.
Progress ReviewThe New York City Real Estate Regional Center, and its initial Clean Air Car Service and Parking Project, were both approved by USCIS on April 3, 2012. The Project’s first investor filed the EB-5 application the following month – on May 11, 2012. Development of the Project was commenced upon the first investor’s I-526 approval in late April 2013. Because the Regional Center has a practice of pre-screening the lawful source of investment funds of potential investors, we maintain a 100% USCIS approval rate of I-526 investor petitions.
There are three types of car services in NYC: “yellow taxis,” “black cars,” and other “for-hire” vehicles. Until recently, the yellow cabs, which are mostly concentrated in Manhattan, were the only car service vehicles allowed to accept street hails. All other vehicles operated on a pre-arranged basis. Currently, there are approximately 13,000 yellow cabs and 40,000 livery or black cars in NYC.
New York City is one of the largest cities in the world with the highest population density, most traffic, and parking congestion. Statistics show that there are 422,000 privately owned cars in NYC and only 50,000 available parking spaces. In the past six years approximately 92% of parking lots or garages in Manhattan were sold or redeveloped for commercial or residential buildings.
